About
Hello, my name is Scott and I am an enthusiast gamer. The last thing the internet needs is another blog or website dedicated to video games, but I decided to overlook this fact and start FrozenGamer.com anyway. I do not have a background in writing and I have no connection with the gaming industry. I have had the occasional day dream about working in the industry in one capacity or another, but honestly, I don’t think that is ever going to happen.
So why did I start this blog? Like most enthusiasts, I want to become more invested in my hobby. If people are into restoring classic cars they like to attend car shows. Hardcore sports fans play on recreational teams and join fantasy leagues. As far as I can tell, gamers post on message boards and start blogs. I wanted to have a place I could discuss my thoughts on games and the changes that are happening in the industry as well as hear what others have to say on the subject. With a forced career change in the foreseeable future, polishing my writing skills a bit couldn’t hurt either.
Outside of games I spend most of my time pimping myself out as a corporate slave for a tiny bit of money. (Most of that money I then trade in for gasoline so I can drive to work everyday.) I find the biggest benefit of having the privilege to being a full time member of the corporate American culture, besides a pocket full of nickels every week, is getting to count the new gray hairs that weren’t there the week before.
Being stuck in middle America there isn’t a whole lot to do outside of working and games. When I need to get out of the house, I enjoy heading down to the local Wal-Mart and witnessing the spreading obesity epidemic that is flooding every small town across America. I often wonder if it is just a coincidence that every small town in America also has a McDonalds and at each of these McDonalds, there is a sign boasting over 56 billion (not an exact figure) served.
If that isn’t enough and you want to know more, leave a comment or head over to my contact page and give me a shout.
