BioShock is still in my top five games list this generation. When I started playing this game it took a hold of me in a way that very few games do. I found myself sitting at work counting the hours until I could go home and play more. I thought about getting home and playing the game during my hour long commute and when I got there that was the only thing I wanted to do. When I finished the game I felt like all things Rapture related came to a close. It didn’t feel like there needed to be a sequel and when it was announced I felt disappointed that they would even attempt to make a second game. I have stayed away from anything related to the game… until today. It came up in a related video list this afternoon on Youtube and I couldn’t help clicking the play button. After watching this footage of the game, I will admit, a second trip to the underwater city of Rapture could be a lot of fun. I don’t know whether the game will live up to the expectations set by the original after watching this trailer but they definitely have my attention now.

Right now the game is scheduled to be released on Feb 5, 2010. Now that they have my interest, lets hope that 2k Marin can deliver a sequel worthy of its predecessor.
